Endoscopy & Laparoscopy Systems
HD and 4K minimally invasive diagnostic and surgical platforms.

Surgical outcomes in minimally invasive procedures are determined by image quality.
Jos•Hansen's endoscopy and laparoscopy portfolio covers flexible endoscopy from Pentax Medical, rigid endoscopy and laparoscopy from Richard Wolf, and HD/4K surgical camera systems from Olympus. Together they enable minimally invasive diagnosis and surgery across gastrointestinal, urological, gynaecological, ENT and pulmonary applications — all supplied, installed, networked and supported by Jos•Hansen across East and Southern Africa.

Visualisation
Full HD and 4K imaging with NBI (Narrow Band Imaging) optical enhancement for early mucosal lesion detection — the image quality that translates directly into diagnostic accuracy and surgical safety.
Versatility
One installed platform supports GI endoscopy, colonoscopy, ERCP, urological cystoscopy, laparoscopic general and gynaecological surgery, ENT and bronchoscopy — covering the full minimally invasive caseload.
Integration
Networked endoscopy towers with integrated processor, light source, monitor and digital recording enable procedure documentation, medico-legal video archiving and remote surgical teaching from a single installed system.
4K and HD imaging — the quality that defines minimally invasive outcomes.
In minimally invasive surgery, the surgeon operates entirely through the image. 4K resolution endoscopes deliver four times the detail of standard HD — revealing tissue planes, vascular structures and pathology that lower-resolution systems miss. Pentax Medical 4K systems with NBI optical enhancement narrow the light spectrum to highlight mucosal vasculature, enabling detection of early dysplastic lesions invisible under white light. Jos•Hansen supplies, installs and commissions complete 4K endoscopy systems including tower, processor, light source and display.

One platform for every minimally invasive procedure.
A hospital that performs GI endoscopy, colonoscopy, urological cystoscopy and laparoscopic surgery needs either multiple specialist platforms or one versatile system. Richard Wolf's rigid endoscopy and laparoscopy range uses compatible optics and light sources across disciplines — reducing capital cost, simplifying training and consolidating spare parts inventory. Jos•Hansen configures each system to the department's procedure mix and available theatre space.

Networked image capture for documentation, teaching and governance.
Digital image and video capture integrated into the endoscopy tower enables procedure documentation at the time of examination, creation of medico-legal records, and remote viewing by senior clinicians during complex cases. Jos•Hansen configures endoscopy networks — including image management software, PACS integration and remote access — without requiring third-party IT contractors. In-service training for theatre and endoscopy nursing staff is included in every installation.

Why Endoscopy.
4K/HD image quality
Surgical outcomes in minimally invasive procedures depend on the image. 4K with NBI delivers the clarity required for safe, accurate diagnosis and surgery.
Multi-discipline platform
One system covers GI, urological, laparoscopic and ENT procedures — reducing capital investment and simplifying staff training across the department.
Networked documentation
Integrated recording and image management with PACS connectivity enables medico-legal documentation and remote clinical governance.
Training and support
Hands-on training for endoscopy and theatre nursing staff, plus ongoing technical and application support from Jos•Hansen's field team.
